Well here we are after Christmas and before New Years..We all are wishing for a better year in 2011. But we are very thankful for all our blessings we recieved in 2010. Theres a struggle getting our shop going , we have had many obstacles to cross , we spent $300.00 for signs , they have all been stolen , we have ran out of loose money to get more . They have even taken the ones I made out of poster board . the ground got so hard it was hard to put a stack in the ground . Dale has such a nice varity in the shop . Christmas time was very beautifully decorated .
We offered hand made , hand sewed , hand painted , hand crafted , and new and old items . The fireplace mantel was drapped with home made garland , the rocking chair sat next to it in case you got tired shopping , we had refreshments ready , coffee hot . So if you didnt make it I'm sorry, we missed you .
This business was started for my husband Dale , he was very sick and not expected to live (as they told us ) not told to us by God though . Dale is a people person , he wasn't seeing any one to tell jokes and talk to , and felt bad all the time, for a long time he sat in the living room and did not feel like doing anything . We found a specialist that said he may do some surgery on his heart , to help buy him more time . This is how it all started , I felt he needed people around . So began Dales Curiosity Shop, he said he would give it a try . And that he has done, he loves it , even just sitting out there reading , he is so proud of the shop . some of his friends stop in , customers . Most people find it hard to locate our country shop , because every sign I put up at the end of the road , gets taken . But I know God will handle it . Dale is a very creative man , he also has been painting a lot and doing a fine job . Business is slow , people are few in between , but overall things went well this year, we didn't get rich this year, but there is another year, with or without us .
